Funnily enough, I was born and raised by two prominent attorneys, attended private boarding schools, had Thanksgiving and Christmas in a formal dining room worth more than most people's houses, etc.; but as soon as I turned 18 I fucked off, enlisted in the military, and to this day I take care of myself 100%.
In recent years I've managed to bullshit my way into an office job that really should require a degree or two (it involves CAD, graphic design, drafting, light engineering principles, fabrication robotics), and have done so well that I received two raises within the first six months without having to ask. Meanwhile, candidates with the "correct" degrees have flunked their interviews several times, because modern universities manage to pass useless idiots all the time.
Anyway, you know what? More power to her. At least she's using Dad's money to go outside, which is awesome.
