The acropolis was a highlight, but there's plenty of other large ruined areas scattered nearby. It's a history lover's dream, but even I will admit there's only so many ancient ruins you can visit in a few days before it just becomes boring.
Apart from ancient ruins, Athens has a great cafe culture, but there's not that much else to do I find. It's not an exciting city. I would take
