For the summer, I'm planning on setting up a tent with a campfire near a beach. Sounds like an excellent way to appreciate the night time sounds and scenary, but I do want to know if there are any checks and balances I must be aware of before undertaking this (I live in eastern EU).

If it's not permissable at a public place, I can settle for setting camp in a forested area near a lake or river.
