I was breaking dead branches from a ponderosa when a bull charged down a hill toward me. He thought I was another bull. He didn't kill me but he went to a nearby small aspen and tore it apart.

I was in Yellowstone solo backpacking and I sat down in a meadow along a creek to have some lunch and a big bull came out of the woods and fed along the creek not 50-100yards from me. We sat in silence for 30 minutes and ate our respective lunches enjoying each other's company. When i got up to go he tip-toed off into the woods again...

I was on a snow mobile one time, this moose would not get off the damn path. Next thing I know it started to charge me, so fearing for my life I shot it.

I did the midnight drive up to Mt Washington once, go up there around 4am and by 8am or so we were heading home. Friends were in the back nodding off tired and I had a fucking moose run out in front of me on the highway. Slammed the brakes and just stopped in time, like maybe 3ft front crashing through its legs.

Thing was humongous, its belly was higher than the roof of my car.
