My cousin is set to buy all the pieces of my family's land, around 200 acres that we've been playing on since we were kids. For his birthday, I want to make him an accurate map of all the land marks, hunting spots, and trails we've made and maintained over the years, but I have no idea how to make a map.

What are your favorite map making resources? I've tried Caltopo, but my area is very rural so there's nothing there except the same satellite maps as Google Earth. I also have no idea how to convert those kind of images into something accurate, clear, and aesthetic.
