reached my hand in the gear bin for you. many different natural fibers have their own niches for /out/ uses. left to right here is merino sheep's wool, american bison down, and kashmir goat down. i got a bunch of stuff made from chinese yak down somewhere. and a pair of socks with qiviut in the blend.
just not the biggest on alpaca personally, merino isn't itchy to me.

Holy Shit.. I knew some people who had llmas/alpacas in northern arizona, but they never had any real issues with predators or die offs, and the winters up there can get pretty nasty.

Guessing it just sheer neglect that killed them?
Pretty fucking sad.

Saw people using them as pack animals when camping, and they seemed pretty chill.
