Am I being too self conscious about it? I have always hiked with my rifle I'm not leaving it but I'm going to look really weird, even if it's perfectly legal. Some of the camping spots in these areas are marked and you are ONLY allowed to camp in that one area because of native beliefs, so I'm going to be camping near others with a bolt action rifle in full multicam which most people have never seen before. I feel like an idiot now because I've been planning this for awhile but I'm self conscious about how I look to others.
