This one is from 2009, though I had an original that I got in 2007, the year they came out. I just found out they stopped selling them on December 31st of last year.

Before everyone had a smartphone, people would take digital cameras with them on hiking trips. This little gadget slides snuggly onto a trekking pole and threads into the bottom of a cameras tripod mount, turning your trekking pole into a selfie stick.

This is way before selfie sticks were ubiquitous, but just a little too late to the market. The first StickPic came out the same year as the first iPhone.
