I want to start kayaking, since my state doesn't require any registration or anything of the sort. Just a life preserver in the kayak. I have a 100lb, 11 month old puppy I want to train to stay in the kayak when she's a little older and a bit more calm.

I don't know the first thing about purchasing a kayak. I won't get an inflatable one due to puppy claws, but might for solo outings so I can pack up on my motorcycle. What does /out/ recommend for a good starter two seater kayak?
