I live in the povo part of Sydney. Nothing around me in terms of fun and the nearest place for snorkeling is about an hour 20 away. I really wanna get into it because I love water and fish. Any tips on what brands I should go for in terms of gear? I don't wanna spend a crazy amount but I don't want something dirt cheap either. I was thinking around $100-150 for the mask, snorkel, and flippers and then some body suit? What kinda suit? Anything else I'd need? And in terms of locations, where should I go? Do people laugh at people who bring snorkeling gear to the beach?
