I recently inherited $500k from my dead mother. I don't know much about /out/ stuff but I'm thinking of going full Ted Kaczynski and buying some rural land off the grid and building a cabin on it. My plan is to subsist on a diet of vacuum-sealed rice and dried beans as well as canned fish, setting up a rainwater tank for water, using solar/wind for electricity, maybe starting a vegetable garden for the micronutrients, maybe buying some sort of military surplus bolt-action rifle from the last century for hunting/self-defence. I'm kind of autistic so I would probably enjoy that sort of isolated and monotonous lifestyle as long as I could get the internet to work there somehow. Thoughts?
