Bigfoot is an inter-dimensional forest spirit, and will not willingly reveal himself to you.
Your best best would be to desecrate his forest, truly disrespect the plant and animal life there, while calling him out. Then he'll come. I mean he'll come to rip your limbs off, but yea, he'll show up.

This is true but desecrating the forest will just bring his wrath. You must complete the summoning ritual to bring him peacefully to you. I have done this many times. Search on r/summonbigfoot for details as the ritual is too nuanced to be detailed here.

If I were going somewhere that I thought had a bigfoot, this is what I would bring:
Primary weapon: .375 H&H Magnum, or some other rifle chambered in a dangerous game cartridge (e.g. .416, .458)
Secondary weapon: 10mm pistol with hot loads
I would also avoid going alone if possible.

Where are you going hunting at? Different areas have different types. PNW ones are big, but mostly non aggressive. Alaskan are big, and mean. Arizona are smaller, and non territorial due to migration. Oklahoma are very territorial, and big. Tennessee are shy, but more intelligent.

you don't need to rush out and buy anything else if that's what you got. just make sure you get a scope dialed in with that 45-70. shooting really long shots might be out of the question or require some relatively expensive practice, as the nice rounds do not come cheaply. if you want the woods to yourself, you have most of the year to learn archery and avoid the gun season rush
