How common are fish fossils with the entire skeleton preserved largely intact?
Could an average Joe find something like this just looking around in his spare time on the weekends or would you need the time, resources, and access of a proper paleontologist?
Genuine ones seem pretty expensive online and I'm in Arizona where there's plenty of exposed sedimentary rock around so I figure it should be semi-plausible to just go get my own.
