I need help finding a Steel pot (with a lid!) that will nest snugly over an old 64oz Klean Canteen. Not on a budget, I just can't find anything.

Post pictures of your cooking setups too, I guess?

Why does it need to nest? I think I have some coleman thing that size but I prefer common, practical gear. A sturdy aluminum pie plate can do multiple jobs and you can put it near a fire to keep things warm. People hate sierra cups but I think they are handy. I like svea over butane stoves, if I was to replace it would be MSR.

I could ditch the bottle for a bladder and then pack everything into a jetboil or 1L stockpot, but I already have the bottle, and am already spending enough on the stove and adapters.

One of these maybe? Measured mine, the outer is 15cm, inner is 13.2cm. Could put a band around the handle or cut it off and use a pot grabber.

I'll use this thread: I saw this plastic US canteen in a thrift store here in Europakistan and I bought it for €2. It came with a nylon cover that doesn't snap on that well but I don't care. The canteen itself was spotless and it seemed good. Too bad the fucking thing leaks real bad and there was a flimsy gasket made of something inside the lid that I assume should be replaced.
I cannot post pictures but it's very thick plastic, a dark olive color. It says the usual FOR WATER ONLY DO NOT APPLY CANTEEN TO OPEN FLAME etc. etc. and on the bottom it says PE-HD (02 recycling code) US 1997
How do you Marines deal with a leaking canteen generally? You just get a new gasket? Throw the thing away?

My US canteen doesn't use a gasket, so there's a few possibilities.
1. Remove the gasket, it's incorrect for your model and interfering with the actual seal.
Still leaks? Your model must need that gasket.
2a. Replace the gasket. A generic rubber o-ring from an auto parts or hardware store roughly 35-38mm should work
2b. Try a replacement cap. May cost as much as option 3.
2c. If you have the right tools, evenly remove a little material from the mating surface of the canteen rim.
3. Replace the canteen.

One I forgot, you could try wrapping the threads with PTFE or electrical tape. More of an improvised solution though, probably won't hold up to regular use.

Thanks for the reply anon. So I've looked around and I've seen a video that showed how that the material often isn't flush at the seams, and that creates a gap from which the canteen leaks. It said that you should just sand that flush and so I did (correctly, I know how to do it), but it does still leak somewhat. I think I'll still need a gasket, so I guess I'll go to the hardware store tomorrow and get something around 38mm (I measured the thing that was inside at 1 1/2") and if it still leaks I'll chuck it. I have a Finnish one already which is excellent, but I liked the idea of having the US one as a backup.

How about titanium? On Aliexpress you can find a Tomshoo 1100ml pot, which supposedly has the width of 125mm. Your Klean Canteen should have the width of 118,1mm, so it should fit. Picture related the sellers stock image of the pot. It should be now on sale, how about you check it out?
I have a 750ml titanium cup from Tomshoo and I use it as a nesting cup with my helikon-tex nalgene ripoff. Works well for my use. I use my smaller cup as a secondary cooking vessel, in addition to my cookset which is built around a 1000ml Primus Litech Trek kettle.

Very similar issue to you OP
I got some 32 oz/1 L stainless steel bottle that's 8 cm wide. Looking for a (graduated) cup for it.
Already found the 350 ml Kelly Kettle cup, but it won't "nest snugly".

Idk Know how big that bottle is, but check out the snowpeak no.1 kettle.
Probably will fit.
If the bottle is about the same diameter of those primus gas canastiers that kettle is your Best bet.
