How do you find your spot /out/?

I want it to be by a river but pretty remote. I don't need to be out of cell service range but I don't want it to be visible from any trails or roads.

I open up the Crown Land atlas, find some land that isn't swamp and narrow it down to places far enough away from roads and cottages.
