I have never been hunting before. How can an anon get into it? Currently I live in Pennsylvania. PA offers a variety of game to hunt. Some animals can be hunted year round like woodchucks, coyote, crows, opossums, stripped skunks, and weasels. Then obviously there are big game like deer and black bears. I would like to start small and work my way up. Perhaps start with hunting some squirrels. Any anons here willing to provide some knowledge on how to get into hunting? Permits? Guns? Useful supplies when out in the bush? Type of game for beginners? How to locate the animal? How to navigate around the woods without getting lost? Things to look out for in order to stay safe?

Any information that can benefit inexperienced newbies and even experienced hunters alike would be greatly appreciated.
