I am an east coast yankee getting to visit a friend in Austin, TX for a week in about a month's time.

I've never had the chance to go /out/ing in the west so I'm very excited.

Can anyone recommend me your favorite trails and areas in the Austin area? I'm willing to drive a bit. I would never litter, I don't use all trails, and I promise to pack out any trash I see scattered about.

I'm a /lit/izen so will be bringing a copy of Blood Meridian to enjoy while I look at the vistas.
