What should I look for in a canvas tent?
I have a bit of land and want to build a platform with a small deck area and set up permanently a 5 meter diameter bell tent on it.
My concern though is that it will become destroyed by UV and other natural causes within one year unless it's built like the brick shithouse.
Does anyone have one or have any insight into permanent ish canvas structures?
What I really expect is one that lasts at least 3 years with zero issues or maintenance and about 5 years of minimum life before it shows considerable wear with a failure of about 8 years.
Are my expectations too high? I don't think the $1100 usd ones I see could even last a year just looking at the pictures.
A more permanent diy solution is decently out of budget. Really hoping to spend at most 3k usd on the entire tent since the platform and all the footings will not be cheap

Pic sort of not really related, I don't need as much deck space
