I'm going to attempt my first solo overnight soon, still collecting gear, learning how to tie knots and start fires because I'm very new, but I want to pick a place that's away from roads and by a stream or some form of running water and I found pic related. The only problem is that it's downstream from a fishery. Is there any contaminants I should be worried about from a fish farm that may wash into the stream? Things that can't be removed by simply boiling water?
I have not scouted it out yet, will be soon I just work a lot, just curious if there's some additional items I should invest in or just abandon this spot and find a new one.
