>>2535325I'm currently destroying a vineyard the old owners of my land planted to start a native garden with a large pond.
I left the edges of my land grow wild for three years and got lots of native saplings I replanted in pots, so fare I have Sambucus nigra, Acer pseudoplatanus, Ostrya carpinifolia, Salix caprea, Laurus nobilis, Alnus cordata, Phillyrea latifolia and many more. All these plants will go to the wildlife garden once I'm done removing the grapes.
The biodiversity of my country is so amazing I hardly need to buy plants, they'll just come to me naturally if I leave the soil alone for some time.
It baffles me that my neighbors spend obscene amounts of money to buy hedgerow shrubs when they could simply leave a small fraction of their land alone and in no time they would have an endless, completely free supply of laurel and mock privet, two plants that are superior to the shit they buy in every possible way.
