If you want to do this as a hobby you'll need to keep the nest near where there is an abundance of wild flowers. Bees usually forage about .5k from the hive and only the scouts will go farther than that. If you don't start a hive where there is adequate food the nest will die or flee.
If you're a bee newfag start with mason bees.
