had it for 18 months before i finally really broke it last month. so i bought new glass for it, and just repaired the glass ($10).
would have worked, too, except i cracked the digitizer in the process. so i bought a new screen assembly ($140).
installed that, it's good to go. except i set part of the phone on fire in the process. it was ok, though, i put it out. doesn't seem to be too damaged, except now there's a giant crack in the frame i could fit a quarter into sideways. oh well, the thing was never supposed to be waterproof to begin with.
