Wikipedia article over ten years ago when I was a kid obsessively reading about ecoregions of the US, it was the first image of the western US that made me want to go out there. I finally went to that spot a couple days ago. That image was sorta burned into my brain, so it was pretty cool and peculiar to see it in real life, even if it's not a particularly scenic spot compared to some places. The image in the Wikipedia article was taken 20 years ago and you could see how the vegetation (juniper trees) had grown significantly since then, that was cool.
