You got any tips on the bass? I've been fishing for them since the season opened and only managed one around 25cm on a squidgy wriggler, despite about 30 hours effort put in. I live on the Gold Coast, and decent freshwater around here is fairly limited, the one I caught was in Canungra Creek. I'm landbased and willing to travel about 2.5 hours North, South or West and I am strictly catch and release on the Aussie natives (besides the odd tandan, but they have much larger populations than bass, perch an cod.)

We've been going later in the day when it's really hot and humid. An just casting at snags. I've been using surface lures or dark coloured deep divers. I haven't had any luck with plastics so your one up on me haha
