At how many days hiking does it become more efficient to carry a live chicken with you so that you can consume the eggs rather than carrying raw food. The chicken can also be put on a leash and walked for parts of your hike.

Basically never. An egg has around 80 calories. A decent hen makes 5 eggs a week, but unclear how they'd do on some hike. 400 calories a week is ass if you have to do any serious work for that or have to carry food or slow down to let them peck or whatever.
