the bottle is not clear and the passage has a funnel at both ends
so its easy for the minnows to find their way out
if i was going to make a minnow trap i would probably make it out of galvanized hardware cloth
you can find it at a lot of hardware stores
cost you about 5 or 10 bucks a trap
or you can buy one for 20
