Went float fishing few days ago on canal using crystal wagglers mostly shotted by float, using size 18 and 22 hooks with maggots directly on hook and some on hair rig, tried edge and middle, fed with maggots to attract as well. Tried edge and middle with no real bites, may have missed a few indications as was chatting but anything obvious I'm doing wrong?

Line was my usual carp 8lb and some of the time I wasn't right on the bottom but anything else obvious?

Also, please post your favourite type of fishing, places to fish, species to catch, rigs and bait etc
