Hey /out/, I have a question for some of you more experienced outdoorsmen. I'm from /v/, and kind of a shut in, but seeing the creation of this board makes me want to just pack some shit in a backpack (with lots of planning, of course) and go off somewhere that I can camp in along for a week, catching a lot of my own food, cooking meals on a fire, and never having to see another person.
Is something like this possible? I did some camping when I was younger, but it wasn't real camping, it was a pop-up trailer and a campground.

Are there any issues with legality about just going out and backpacking, as long as you don't start any forest fires?
