>>2547493get a flash 22 from rei if you're in america.
obvious choice.
only bother with other daypacks if you don't have access to an rei.
>>2549209the torso sizing is kind of weird on them. i forgot what it measures but look it up before buying.
the biggest difference between the regular one and the pro is that the regular is made of normal 210d nylon and the pro is made of 210d dyneema gridstop. meaning the white grid on the pack fabric is dyneema and its more tear/rip resistant than the other version.

nobody purposely uses bad gear and i've never seen savotta on trail once on two thru hikes and many many section hikes.
>>2549417how durable do you really need your pack to be? i think a lot of you guys are newfags without much experience who assume bigger=better. when really you're just paying more for a worse backpack that lasts longer but they both last a very long time anyways.
your standard 210d nylon pack lasts me around 10-15k miles on average, mixed on trail and backcountry.
and to put things in perspective, i've kept a monitor lizard in a 1000d grow tent before. that's a more appropriate application for that textile.
but also i just think mystery ranch and seekoutside sell better packs in that segment.
