I'm at work right now, it's shit but here I am shitposting on the last hour before I clock out, they tell us to give them a week in advance for PTO but I've done it 2-3 days prior many times. It's like an unspoken rule that you can call in and just say you're sick to avoid points and if your boss doesn't hate you they'll let it slip. Never worked anywhere that needed a 2 whole weeks notice to prepare for you being gone one shift, that sounds like that place is being held together by prayers and duct tape.

Got a season pass last year and neeted 1.5 hour drive from the resort throughout the whole season. Was sleep deprived as shit most of the time and ended up mostly hitting groomers and side patches of pow, it’s too sketchy riding unfamiliar terrain on your own. It became kind of trivial and unexciting on a lot of days desu. Snowboarding is overrated by city dwellers who hardly get any, and acrobatically gifted manlets.

when you can just go up any time you want it stops being special

i didnt call in sick, thats a misuse of trust and a fireable offence. i was just plain honest and wanted one of my 10 random days off, i got 25 in total but 15 "must" be consecutive and during summer holiday.
by must i mean i can ask for less but then i hold the legal leverage, my boss is actually not allowed to let me hold back holidays/time off but im allowed to ask for it that way. most do let it slip, they know how it works. by letting this happend they indirectly agree that people take thoose days of at random later. think i got over a week extra for this year that i didnt use last year..

Newfag to skiing. I've taken classes and can kind of comfortably ski by myself. What are some recommendations for gear? Would need helmet, goggles, Jacket and boots. Getting overwhelmed with brands and different models, just want to be comfy and lightweight. Thanks chaps.
