Is pursuing land surveying a good choice for a thirty year old? Is it a good idea in general? I've read mixed reviews on the pay and work/life balance. But it also seems like it could be a pretty comfy /out/ job.

If it is a career worth pursuing, would going to college be the best right or should you just try to get a job and work your way up?
