The pots still get sooty, but if you have water to spare it's a non issue, and whatever paint the Swedes used is pretty durable.
I will usually use the larger pot as a double boiler for canned or retort packed food, and the smaller pan for actual cooking. I then use the hot water from the larger pan to clean the smaller, then boil water in the smaller to clean the utensils.
The nice thing about them, is if space is at a premium, you can have something that serves a lot of purposes. I've used mine on cold mornings as a tent heater, while warming up the big pot full of water to make morning tea or coffee.
Otherwise, if you have the room or are long term camping, I just use a gasoline stove and a more conventional set of cooking implements.
I can take more pics of the setup if you need, but again, the stainless Swede kits are a bit scarce and more expensive than the aluminum versions.
