How do I learn to hunt (I live in PA). I would like to go deer hunting and learn how to strip a deer. I assume I can just sign up for some weekend hunting trips with an instructor?

first step is going to your states wildlife management branch and figure out what licensing and training you need if any to get your hunting license. after that you find a reputable hunting guide and hand him some money

Since no one gave you an actual answer yet as a fellow PA Anon you need to pass a hunters safety exam first before you’re allowed to purchase a license and for deer season you need orange hat +vest unless you plan to go for flintlock or muzzleloader. The exam is only an hour or so and as long as you have half a brain you’ll be fine they teach you all the basics about deer hunting and not to be a retard

As long as you have a pulse. I know PA hunters who 100% should not be allowed out of their homes with anything sharp, yet every season they're in the woods with a firearm. But this is every state, so whatever.

Apparently a lot of guys go to Walmart and lie about having done the test, then run off into the woods and start blasting. I usually camp in state forest land and during deer season they're everywhere.

I'm from Australia so it could be different but I'll go through what I'd do if it was my first time.

Ecologically they do the same thing. They're pigs, they like anthropogenic habitats, and they can be aggressive.
I wish we didn't hate them so much in the US. Their meat is delicious and they're powerful animals.
