>>255635They're plain steel bottles, so it's not like you can go wrong with this.
Well, two things can go wrong, first is the cap which may be hard to close or leak, and that's not a problem with Klean Kanteens, and the second thing is the thickness of the bottle.
Klean Kanteen guarantees a thickness > 0.4 mm, something not all brands of steel bottles do, some are much thinner, down to 0.2 mm, to the point that it easily dents and each dent can pierce a hole in it. I have a comparison at home of several bottles from different brands, indicating their thickness, aswell as their weight considering some refuse to disclose the thickness and there are no available models to measure it myself, but you can get a decent idea of it by checking the weight, the heavier the thicker obviously, and the conclusion of this comparison is that Klean Kanteen are pretty much the best ones available.
There are a couple brands making equally good bottles, some which are about $2€ cheaper, not that it makes a great difference anyway as they aren't that common thus hard to find, and I guess the only other difference is the shape of the bottle and the capacity. I'll try to think about posting it this evening.
Otherwise, don't buy the Klean Kanteen Reflect that's sold everywhere, Classic ones cost half of that and are almost identical, the only differences being that the logo is painted rather than etched, and the cap is plastic, but still a great cap. Actually, a Classic and the bamboo cap sold separately are still cheaper than the Reflect.
