My wife and I are going to go /out/ for a weekend in the Hoosier National Forest this summer. We've gone camping before but never outside of a campground. I'm looking for advice on what to bring, as well as general advice on camping on national forest land. I already have guns and knives, but honestly very little in terms of camping gear. I'm open to tents, tarps, hammocks, or whatever. Also might shoot a couple squirrels while we're out and eat them, but that'll depend on if we can make fire

Also how bad are the skinwalkers out there?
