Being a man is growing the fuck up, learning to overcome difficulties in your life, and accepting yourself and those around you for who and what they are.
The need to compensate and to convince others that you are a man is childish to say the least.
Being a man means being honest, hard working, and supportive. It doesn't mean being a dick and cutting down trees because you think it's more macho than bringing a tent.
Being a man means accepting the differences in the world and getting over the bigotry that you may have once held. It's not about putting others down, it's about building up yourself and those around you. Being a man means not being afraid to show emotion. It means you'll rise up and face any challenge ahead of you. Even if that means comforting the crying and emotional wreck of a roommate that is in obvious need of some help.
Grow up and learn what it really means to be a man. You aren't impressing anyone and no woman cares about the trees you fell and the shelter you think you can make out of it.
People want someone who can handle a situation, even if that means calling AAA. It's about getting shit done, not how macho of a way you can get shit done.
