On the other hand, if seclusion is your goal, you’ll be hard pressed to find a better place to live than the central or northern regions of the state. They’re very beautiful and there’s an excess of public land.
I’ve been to just about ever state in the union, lived in Texas for a couple years, and can’t imagine living anywhere but southern Maine, it’s the greatest state in New England and probably the east coast.
That being said, unless you have a connection here, New Hampshire is a significantly more economic and friendly option considering taxes and housing prices.
