With a rifle like that, and decent shooting skills, you can track, stalk, and shoot a hog in one trip. And you can hunt multiple hogs as well. Infections like trichinellosis are actually relatively rare. There is a misconception that game meat is inferior or not fit to eat, some game meat is gourmet.
