So I had to fight panic when I realized how stupid I had been. There are barely any pictures of this because I was focusing on trying to figure where the hell I was and where the hell I needed to be.
I eventually picked a point at random as to where to climb out of the valley that I was in. I waded through shin high snow on a rock face. When I reached the peak, I thought I had reached the cliffs edge. (The peak of the mountain drops off into cliff formation referred to as the book cliffs.)
Unfortunately, all I saw were a series of valleys before me. I knew I was going in the right direction because of the sun, but I was MUCH further than I thought.
