AUS-8 steel does not held edge as good as VG10-class knives, but it's pretty easy to sharpen - which can be good if I'm in survival situation and have to sharpen it on rock found in the nature.
Also I'm trying to learn to sharpen my shit on whetstone, so I want something on the cheaper side of spectrum, so it wouldn't hurt that much if I destroy it by my weak sharpening skills. But if I really couldn't get into it, I'm gonna get sharpening set from spyderco.
And yes, I can deploy and close it using one hand. That's one reason why I wanted axis/arc lock and not frame/liner lock - I don't want to stick fingers in the way of the blade in possibly emergency stressful situations.
