Basically in the north if you see a bish or a tree growing you can know you can step near it and everything is fine. That is regular soil you can just walk on normally.
But in Florida? Basically you can step right next to a tree and instead of regular ground to walk across it is more like stepping in a ball pit. Instantly you sink to just past your knees. You scream but the screams are absorbed by the vegetation that is now just above where your head has sunk down to. Bees are stinging you. Flies so thick you have to scream wildly at your eyes to see at all. The water smells like a homeless person and it fills your boots and pockets, soaking everything.
You try to float buy your arms and legs are tangled in plant roots so it is hard to move. The blood running into your eyes from the cuts the sharp leaves that brush your face as you futilely thrash begins running down over your lips, causing the screams to take on a bubbling tone.
Just before your nose sinks below the water line a butterfly lands on your head.
