>>2582977 said, get a cheap tent, sleeping bag and pad, get some snacks and go for a camp, don't worry about the quality of the gear as its basically guaranteed you'll move onto better stuff in the future anyway.Also maybe bring a friend, camping with others is a different experience but it will help calm the nerves when you need to take a piss at 4am and hear what you think is a bear outside but is just the wind.
