I am a brand new gardener doing everything wrong for my first year and I've finally gotten my shitty raised bed garden built and filled with dirt. As you can see in pic related, I have 11 tall tomato plants here that I was given when they were just seedlings. The window they are in gets loads of sunlight so they have been thriving almost too well while I slowly built the garden bed. My question now is this:
How do I transplant them the best way considering they have already grown so much?
I've seen guides that said I need to cut the root dirt in half so they aren't tangled. I've seen videos say I should bury them up to the very top (which would be very difficult because they're so tall now and my garden bed isn't anywhere near that tall). I've also heard trellises are pretty much required for tomatoes. Should I build those first before planting them? Or could I transplant them and then build the trellises within the next week or so? Any other advice highly appreciated!!
