You can get them in various lengths for your need, and it's being used in it's designed purpose, where you can get dinged for tying just a rope off to itself similarly (although desu everybody still does this and I've never heard of anyone getting more than a warning for it if even being mentioned)
But ya, just pic related, with a tie-off rope w/ carabiner, rope grab, lanyard with shockpack attached to a fall protection harness will be all you need to be fully OSHA compliant, assuming you keep your ropegrab set as tight as possible to limit swing distance
