I'm going to make a sheepskin vest and I need suggestions for the outer layer. What fabric should I use? It's only purpose is to hide the skin so there's no need for special properties as long as it's natural. Something that won't soak with sudden unexpected rain would be nice, but not required.

Also, I primarily use mountain skiis, which makes it easier to use outside a ski track. In pic related me and my friend used regular skis (idk what you call those in english) but they still did the trick when we went off in the deep snow.

The merino wool shirt is new to me, and I tore a hole in it already from a raspberry vine. It dries fast, but im not really closer to being comfortable to sleep in it, since it is scratchy. which was what I was hoping. Those socks are excellent though.

I keep the shemagh around to filter water, clean my ass, and wear on my head. not at the same time, or necessarily in that order.
