You need to figure out how much power you need per day, and how much driving you'll do per day to charge. Your needs will dictate what you should purchase. No point in buying too much, as it's a waste of money. You'll also regret buying too little.

Get one of these little negers. One charge blows like 6 hours and they are powerful.

You will probably also need solar cells in addition to your batterybox but you can get this stuff fairly cheap nowadays.

Check your laptop, it might not need a 120v outlet to charge.

If it can charge via USB-C then it might only need 30w to 60w to charge, which many smaller portable banks can provide.

you can charge anything usb c with 12 v just fine as per specification
it doesnt NEED more than that, it might just take a bit longer to charge

best option is a solar panel, then a small battery pack and only then some retarded generator

last time i went camping with the lads, one small 2ft by 2ft foldable solar panel kept everyone's devices charged while still having enough power left over to keep the freezer running and some lights if we needed them.
battery lasted just over a week, by which time the freezer was empty so we switched it off.

I've used a usb-c wall outlet charger to charge my laptop before, it's like a trickle charge. Takes 2 hours for the battery to go up by 3%.

Only problem i have now is charging it.
I'm looking into getting a solar panel for on my van.

Next system I make is 24 Volts, because the cables can be thinner.

I got a 500WH knockoff version of the jackery packs and it can charge off the alternator at a decent rate, it has a built in connector for the ciggy port. To charge from half (I never go below that, for battery health) takes maybe 3-4 hours of driving. 250WH was enough to keep a small laptop going for several hours a day.

I used a 60W folding solar panel most of the time though, and when camping. I know you say you don't want panels, but they only cost me $150 or so and work great. The 60W tri-panel folding ones are small enough to fit under my windshield, so I could stick them in there when parked somewhere. Also most of these types of panels have USB/C and other charging ports built in.

I want to add that 12v from regular old powerbanks (Like Anker ones) is hit or miss. Some PD controllers don't supporf 12v, as it isn't really in the PD protocol, so they only output 9v (Although plenty support 15v-20v but that doesn't help).

some rando 200 watt panel off amazon and a jackery 240 covers almost literally everything I need to do. I have a bigger jackery to cover anything that the small one doesn't but with the exception of being able to run a microwave and a few other things its mostly overkill.
