Saw what I assumed to be a coy wolf once. Too big to be a coyote but there are no wolves in this area. Maybe a dog gone wild?
Came face to face with a full rack buck once, I just kept hiking and he payed me little attention, like meeting another hiker 6 miles out. Strange and funny.
