Thanks for all the good suggestions guys. As I mentioned before, I'm relatively new to /out/ pursuits. For context, I just graduated from college, and I've only just put together a group of people who, like me, hate to be anywhere near shitholes like Newark and want to be as far in the opposite direction as possible. With the background out of the way, I'll try to respond to as many of your posts as possible.
> swamps
Probably not. While they are certainly an interesting biome, I prefer forested areas, because then I have at least a chance of staying dry.
> Stick close to the Delaware river and go north, like more Hunterdon County. Realistically the best places you are looking for are in the Northwestern part of the state, so your best bet is to look around there.
Much appreciated, I'm based in Somerset county at the moment, so Hunterdon county and northward is definitely within my range.
> How far are you willing to travel for the authentic innawoods experience and avoid the public campgrounds?
In terms of range, 1, 2, or even 3 hour drives are fine, as long as the amount of time driving is less than the amount of time doing shit.
> There's no wildlife south of 78 you're gonna need your gun for.
Honestly, I'm more likely to go North(west) than South. It's funny because I'm literally 5 minutes from 78 where I am now.
> it's still the most densely populated state in the union
Yeah, I know. NJ sucks for a lot of reasons. Hopefully I won't be here too much longer, maybe only another year or so. I might go up to Maine if I can find a good job up there honestly.
> Pine Barrens are probably your best bet.
The one place that makes me consider going to South Jersey.
> You seem like a nice guy, don't come into the pine barrens.
Why the hell not? (Inb4 this guy goes off on some /x/ shit)
