The rural areas have been clearing out for decades with people fleeing to sunbelt states in droves. Without this mass exodus, the entire state including the rural counties would be overflowing with people.
The upstate county officials are actually pretty based. They essentially told Cuomo to fuck off by not enforcing the unconstitutional SAFE Act and are now telling Hochul and Adams to fuck off by refusing to accept the illegals that were bused from Texas to NYC. That's the sanctuary city's problem, not ours.
