Yesterday I woke up at 7:30am and it looked like it was still dark/going to rain. The sky looked all spooky any light was a shade of orangeish tan. Later learned there was massive forest fires across Quebec which is weird since its been very cold and damp it was like 1-5c for over a week in the middle of may. I woke up this morning same deal same spookyness it was even worse. I open the door and all I can smell is burning wood. The sun is super bright but its covered in smug shinning an omninous colour of reddish orange the sky is brown. The birds wont shut up, very very spooky.

Tl;dr while reading the news I found out that being a forest fireranger is rather "simple". Be 18 and not a fat lazy bastard complete a 40 hour course and with that. You can become a fireranger for 3-6 month contracts but also do volunteer work. This seems really cool I personally do not care if I'm told yeah show up here and you'll be shipped around in the middle of nowhere for a few weeks/months.

Has anyone on /out/ done this before? Even if its just volunteer work I don't care. I'm so bored of life I truly hate living in the city. Ever since covid Indians have magically been invading Quebec. Even more immigrants, people just not giving a fuck the city is more filthy and violent. I just want to get far away from all this. I've been looking for shit to do I know its june and its already to late for a lot of things. But more so to rather goals and tasks to complete. Yes I know this can be dangerous as fuck its not a game I very well could die a horrific death. But I really just want to do something different, or even cringefully something noble so to speak. I've done /out/ work in the past, its just I can't take it anymore. Its now or never things are changing so much, and for the worst. I need to change, I need to feel as if my life has value again.
